QR generator

Generate a QR code

Type the text or URL, choose the error correction and colours, and download a PNG or a vector SVG. The exact encoded content is printed below the preview.

The QR code is generated in this tab from your text. Nothing is sent to a server and no redirect is inserted.

Tips for a scannable code

What is encoded

The payload is written verbatim into the QR matrix. This site does not wrap your URL in a redirect, so the destination is visible in the encoded content — check it before printing.

QR questions

Does the QR code expire or redirect?

No. The payload is encoded directly into the image, so it never passes through this site. There is no shortener, tracking parameter or expiry.

Which error correction level should I use?

M is a good default. Use Q or H when the code will be printed small, might get dirty, or will sit behind a label. Higher levels store less text in the same number of modules.

Why does a long payload produce a dense code?

QR capacity is limited. A 900-character payload needs a higher version with many more modules, which is harder to scan from a distance. Short URLs scan more reliably.

Are the colours I pick always safe?

No. Scanners expect dark modules on a light background. The tool warns below a 3:1 contrast ratio and refuses to generate at effectively no contrast, but you should still test a printed copy with a phone.

Can I make a QR code with a logo?

Not here. Logo overlays eat error-correction budget and need careful testing; a plain high-correction code is more reliable.
